We decided to try out this new joint which opened about 4 months ago. I'm pleased to say the money was worth it! For $42, we started with Artichoke dip with Pita and tortilla chips. My sweetie ordered Roasted Pepper Chicken Penne and I ordered Shrimp Scampi - both dishes were rich in flavor and serving size was good for the price of $12 each. Then, ended the night with yummy dessert, Bread pudding with fresh whip and caramel sauce. Oh and let's not forget the 3 orders of Peach iced tea - yum! The only two things I would suggest would be, one scoop of ice cream with the dessert (just a little too rich by itself) and possibly improving the ambiance of the place, which by the way, a very comfortable atmosphere with simple but colorful decor ...maybe could cover up the back of the kitchen (the ice machine and kinda killed it for me). Overall, we'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

First time to the Bistro. Had the calamari appetizer to start. It was average at best. Pretty sure it was frozen. I had the mango jalapeño chicken over quinoa. The chicken was dry and overlooked. The quinoa was unremarkable. The chutney however was good. My mother had the sirloin steak over garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was a little tough and completely unseasoned. The potatoes and asparagus were excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. The place was very clean. Try it.

Found this one on the "new in the area". We were looking for a something different. Found Origin Bistro. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, which came on garlic toast with shoe string potatoes on the side. This is one of the best Reuben I have ever had. You could taste every one of the favors. My husband had the Origin Burger. This also came on a garlic toast with the shoe string potatoes. The Burger is made with rosemary and pepper jack cheese. If you are expecting this hamburger to taste like a typical burger than this is not the burger to order. The taste is totally unique. You could tell everything was prepared with fresh ingredients. The staff was friendly, food was hot, fast and good. We left with the take out menu. What can I say, we will be back, A restaurant like this is not typical fare for Prescott Valley.

I came here because it had the best reviews on yelp. All these folks can't be wrong right? Wrong. Asked the waiter what's good he said the fried shrimp fritters or what ever they are called. Looks good. But they were massive fried balls of dough and I think only one fried ball had a tiny piece of shrimp. I then ordered filet mignon. Omg. It comes out almost completely raw. I was not asked how I want it served. Raw really? OK some people like that. But don't assume I want raw meat. I would have gone for sushi. Any who this giant nasty piece of raw flesh had surprisingly lots of fat in it. Isn't filet supposed to be lean? I never leave reviews that are negative but this place is horrible.

Not good first meal impression but we will try it again based on all the positives. Just stay away from they chicken and melted cheese wrap. It was like something that a child might try to make in the microwave.

Went to Origin Bistro for lunch yesterday with two co-workers. Service by Edward was top-notch. He was attentive without being intrusive. Special of the day was carnitas. Soup of the day was chicken and dumpling. Dessert was blueberry cheesecake. It is a wee bit dark in there at lunch, so I'm not sure how the evening would be. It also seemed to be a tad loud, even though there were only 4 total parties in the restaurant. Nothing that would cause me not to go back, though! I ordered the pork stack sandwich (ham, bacon, and swiss with a honey dijon mustard). It came with a side. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't list the sides, so we had to ask when the waiter came to take our order. He had a small print list of the sides he handed us. I chose a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Co-Worker A ordered the Origin Burger, medium well with a side of fries. Co-Worker B ordered the Turkey Pesto Sandwich with the chicken and dumpling soup side. We were asked if we'd like to soup to arrive first, and we said that would be great. The broccoli cheddar soup was so-so. It had a bit of a bitter taste. Both co-workers tasted and agreed. However, the chicken and dumpling soup was amazing. Definitely a hit. Entrees were brought quickly. Co-Worker B's sandwich came with a side of fries accidentally. Not a prob Both my pork stack sandwich and the Origin burger were served with Texas toast that had cheese melted on both outsides. This seemed to be a novel idea until we actually started eating. It made your fingers greasy and the bread a bit soggy -- especially not good for the large Origin burger. Other sandwich (turkey pesto) was also served on Texas toast but without the cheese and it was toasted nicely. Both the pork stack and turkey pesto had thick cut meat -- as in actual carved ham and turkey. That was VERY nice! No sandwich or deli meat in there. Sandwiches were excellent, minus the bread mishap on the porkstack due to the cheese bread. Co-Worker A said the burger was excellent but would only order it again if available on a different type of bread since the cheese bread made it difficult to pick up and eat. Overall, a very good meal for all of us. Serving sizes were on the larger side but not gluttonous. Mentioned the 'eh' to the cheese bread to the waiter and he said, "Not a problem" and that we could request it without next time. Good to know. Definitely will go back and taste some of the other items and would recommend to others.

Having heard that the Origin Bistro has an Eggs Benedict, my friends and I decided to give the place a try for breakfast today. When we got there (just after 10 a.m.) we were told that they only serve breakfast on Sunday. The owner/chef immediately said that he'd be happy to make us breakfast, so we decided to stay. After we were seated he came over to talk to us about the breakfast. All three of us ordered breakfast (Eggs Benedict, caramel french toast, & the scramble) and the food was delicious!! It took a little while to get our meals, but it was worth the wait. Everything was fresh and well cooked. Another reviewer mentioned that the restaurant is a little dark, I agree with that assessment, but by the time our food came, it was less noticeable. We will definitely go again and highly recommend the Origin Bistro.

Disapointed : Service was good but dinner was pretty bad, we had a salad and the Chicken Alfredo minus the chicken. Tasted like it came from a can or worst. The waiter wanted to make up for our disappointment but we just wanted to go. We won't be bach.

Overpriced for the food you get. My kids would not even eat there Mac and cheese off the kids menu.

First experience here today, 3/26, for lunch. Wonderful menu, great service .. spot on. Not intrusive, friendly and accommodating, Had the Origin Burger ... so tasty! A few friends had the avocado tacos ., loved them, One had the bruschetta app ... looked great, said it was excellent. Prices are fair ,,, you get what you pay for, I'll be back for sure! And, they have coupons on restaurants.com for $4 for $10 purchase! Good deal,

Fried Avocado Tacos are close but miss the mark. Presentation was great, homemade tortilla was superb, and the server's recommendation of the jasmine rice side complimenting the taco was spot on. However, avocados really just should not be cooked. I was left with that strange slightly bitter taste which occurs when heating an avocado. If they made this exact same taco with raw avocados and any meat - carne asada, chicken, fish, or even grilled tofu - this would be a superb taco which I would come back for on a regular basis. As it stands, however, I would not order this again.

This restaurant is wonderful. The service is friendly and conscientious. The food is very good and tastes like they really care when making it. We have been there with our granddaughters and they love the kids meals. We went for lunch once and dinner another time and both were excellent. The quality of food is top notch and it's less expensive than going someplace like Red Robin. I hope they are able to make it because it's a great place.

Although its location in a small mall may hides it from the outside world, the food and service are exemplary. We have eaten here a couple of times with our daughter-in-law and granddaughters. The grilled items were excellent, especially the burgers. The Kids portion are the right size, as are the adult entrees. Moreover, the times that we have been here, the service has been outstanding. Highly recommend It!

Had lunch for my birthday yesterday and it was a wonderful treat! Had the blackened salmon tacos with a delicious tangy lime slaw and there out of this world saffron rice. But wait, there's more...dessert was the bread pudding that was like bread pudding on steroids! Deep fried with vanilla ice cream, soooo good! The service is awesome and their rewards program actually gives some $$ incentive to eating at Origin. My birthday meal was free! Go check it out, you will not be disappointed.

Good service good food. You get better quality for the lesser or equal of value than Red Robin. We've eaten here for lunch and dinner, and both times everything was great. They have GF options and a good kids menu. I think it's relatively kid friendly as well (my girls 5/2 yrs) over all pleased. We'll see how they do over time.

Best kept secret! All homemade, creative, and fucking delicious! I enjoy to the mushroom appetizer and the enchiladas. This feels like it would be on the beach, gourmet! Worth the drive from Prescott, and not too harsh on your pocket book, ;).

Very happy with our food. There were 11 of us-5 adults and 6 kids- and everybody loved it. The mac and cheese on the kids menu was the best I've ever had. Burgers were great as well as the sides and salads. We will definitely return and try the dinner menu.

This was our first visit here. We had a great waiter who made great suggestions for dinner. I had the Trixies Shrooms, excellent taste with a lot of crab meat in the mixture. For dinner I had the Pork Belly Tacos which were very good. Only complaint was the rice which could have cooked just a bit longer. My sister had the Calamari for an appetizer which were cooked just right, not a lot of flavor. For dinner she had the Creamy Green Chili Enchiladas and they were EXCELLENT. I will get those next time there for sure.

This place is great! My wife and I walked in 10 minutes after closing on Sunday, the informed us that they close at 2PM but would keep the kitchen open for us. I had the Benedict Omelet (it was the special). The Mrs had the Chicken Artichoke Wrap. The portions were generous, presentation attractive, and food tasted great! Can't wait to try more menu items. Maybe lunch today!

We had a dinner here one night in January. The wait staff was friendly but failed to tell us about the evening special which we would have rather had than our choice. We did have hamburgers and we tried the artichoke dip. The dip was fine just unremarkable and rather flat in taste, The burgers were cooked as ordered, however it was readily apparent that these burgers were a heart attack waiting to happen. Low quality hamburg with lots of fat. Some may like that but I would rather the more healthy variety.

Really good. Stopped in for a snack before driving to Phoenix and quite happy we did. Cobb salad w chicken and tortilla soup - both absolutely delicious. Short on atmosphere but long on flavor and freshness. Service was great too. I'll be back!

We had lunch here. Our food took quite a while to be served after our ordering. I ordered the Chicken Caprese. The flavor was good/ tasty. It was a VERY small portion ( I was still hungry after finishing my meal). open faced on a piece of sour dough bread. The sweet potato fries were cold ( not even warm). Why when you wait for your meal sooo long and are told by the waiter numerous times it'll be out in a minute....and then when you finally receive your meal it it's cold and very small? I don't expect a LARGE serving just an honest one. This was expensive and not served well. I like the idea they are offering and the menu... just POOR EXECUTION. I will not return.

Friends we visited took us here to eat. Very generic and open dining room. Food was overall VERY good. Competent, enthusiastic and energetic servers. We started with the bruschetta and chicken pineapple meatballs. The cheese on the bruschetta was pretty tough....but it was tasty and the tomatoes were perfect. The chicken meatballs were excellent. I had a bacon cheeseburger that came with FIVE strips of bacon...it was a pretty tasty burger. Requested the fries extra crispy...they were that....but they were almost but not quite burnt. Maybe requires a little attention to the fryer. Will eat here again next time we are in town, looking forward to an evolution in the kitchen.

Just moved to Prescott Valley in July 2015. After moving into our apartment found this spot on restaurants.com and took advantage of the deal there to take our friends from Phoenix out to lunch. Had a wonderful time, company, atmosphere and the food. My wife was impressed with their bread pudding of the day for dessert. We went to go back but the place has since closed. We will miss it.

This restaurant is a hole in the wall. Hidden gem in prescott valley. Our server nick was amazing you must ask for him when you eat there. Drink was always full. Alcohol was cheep and delish food came out hot in 10 min and I felt the vibe that the kitchen really cared about how there food came out. Everything was good. I ordered the filet and my wife orders the chicken Alfredo. Both dishes where flavorful and I had no idea how good Brussels sprouts where will I had them at origins bistro. Defiantly coming back with friends and family to share my discovery

Went there a few days ago with my wife. We both had "The Beef" because, how can you go wrong with a title like that! Well, you can't. It was delicious. Everything was fresh and warm and just the way it should be. The server was very attentive, but we went after the lunch rush. Don't know how it is then. We are fans and will be back.

My wife and I tried the shrimp scampi and the green chile enchiladas. They were excellent. We also tried the chips and guac. The guac was fine but the chips had no flavor. They refunded part of the bill when I mentioned this to the staff. The service was beyond excellent and we plan to return to try other items on the menu.

We have been there 3 times and every time we have had exceptional food as well as service. We love this restaurant. My son has multiple food allergies, and the owner came out and talked with us about how to cook his food to avoid cross contamination. They were very accommodating, and polite about the situation. I have not had that experience at other local restaurants. The manager has been helpful every time we eat there. He is always working hard to help the waiters and cooks. Very good place with very good food! We will be back often.

On their menu it states that lunch is only served until 4. I went there around 530 will after lunch. I looked through the menu and really wanted to try the buffalo chicken sandwich but it was on the lunch part of the menu. I asked the hostess if it was possible to try it. She was very helpful and asked the kitchen if it was ok. I could even hear the cook saying "Yeah that's not a problem! As long as we're not super busy and i have the stuff to make it, i don't mind doing that for a customer." I thought that was great customer service front and back. The place was small but very nice inside. My chicken sandwich was really good tender and came with a side all for $8. Very reasonable and i left completely stuffed. The bleu cheese sauce was very strong so i would just get it on the side next time. But that's just a personal preference. All in all i had a good experience and will try it again.
